Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how easyDelivery (“easyDelivery”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and mobile application (together, the “Service”). The Service lets you order products from local stores and restaurants for delivery or collection.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information so we can provide the Service:

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, password, and optional profile photo when you create an account. You can also place an order as a guest without creating a full account.
  • Delivery and address details — the delivery addresses you save or enter at checkout, including street address, city, state, postcode, country, and the approximate geographic coordinates of that address.
  • Order information — the items you order, order history, delivery or collection preferences, and any notes you provide.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number. We keep a secure reference (a customer identifier) provided by Stripe so we can process your orders, refunds, and any saved payment methods.
  • Location information — if you use our mobile app and grant location permission, we may use your device’s location to show nearby stores and help you enter a delivery address. You can disable this permission at any time in your device settings.
  • Technical and usage information — basic information needed to keep you signed in and operate the Service, such as session data and authentication tokens.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
  • To process your orders, payments, refunds, and deliveries or collections.
  • To arrange delivery of your order and let you track it.
  • To send you transactional messages such as order confirmations, delivery updates, account verification, and password resets.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to fulfil your order, and only to the extent necessary:

  • The store or restaurant you order from, so they can prepare your order.
  • Delivery providers — when your order is delivered, we share your name, delivery address, and phone number with our delivery provider (Uber Direct) and the assigned delivery driver so your order can reach you.
  • Payment provider — Stripe processes your payment. Your payment details are handled directly by Stripe under its own privacy policy.
  • Legal and safety — we may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.

4. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account (see section 6), we remove or anonymise your personal information so it can no longer identify you. We may retain anonymised order and financial records, and a limited amount of other information, where required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations, or to resolve disputes.

5. Your Rights and Choices

We are committed to your data-protection rights, including those under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion (erasure) of your account and personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting earlier processing.

You can view and update much of your account information directly in the app, and you can delete your account yourself as described in section 6. To exercise any other right, contact us at support@easydelivery.com. If you are in the UK or EU and have concerns about how we handle your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

6. Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and personal information at any time:

  • If you have an account — open your account settings in the mobile app and choose to delete your account. For your security, we ask you to confirm your password. Your account is then scheduled for deletion after a short cooling-off period (72 hours), during which you can cancel using the link in the confirmation email we send you.
  • If you ordered as a guest — visit our “Delete my data” page and verify your email address with a one-time code to request deletion of the data linked to that email.
  • By email — you can always contact us at support@easydelivery.com and we will handle your request.

When a deletion request is processed, we either delete your records entirely or anonymise them so they can no longer identify you — this includes scrubbing your name, email, phone number, profile photo, saved addresses, and payment references. To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to allow any refunds or disputes to be resolved, we retain order and financial records in an anonymised form, and we may briefly delay completing the deletion until any in-progress orders or open disputes on your account are settled.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections and secure storage of credentials. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
